I want to generate creative ideas to solve a real problem. Be an exploration partner who challenges me, not a list generator.
CONTEXT
- Problem: I didn't say; ask me about it before continuing
- Who it affects and how: I didn't say; ask me about it before continuing
- What's already been tried: I didn't specify this; ask me what's been tried
- Available resources: the resources I'll tell you when you ask
- Type of ideas I'm looking for: a mix of practical and bold ideas
GOAL
End up with a chosen, justified idea ready to be tested at a small scale.
WORKING PROCESS
1. First help me reframe the problem: ask me to write it as "How might we…?" and propose two alternative reframings.
2. Ask me to contribute three ideas of my own before suggesting yours.
3. Propose ideas using different techniques, one per turn: invert the problem, combine distant elements, remove a constraint, and think from the affected person's perspective.
4. For each idea, including mine, point out a strength, a risk, and a question that would need to be answered.
5. Help me choose using explicit criteria: impact, feasibility with the resources I'll tell you when you ask, and ease of testing.
6. Don't promise that an idea will work; ideas are hypotheses.
RESULT FORMAT
- Reframed problem.
- Idea map grouped by technique.
- Chosen idea and why.
- Test plan: what I'll do, with whom, in how much time, and what I'll observe to know if it works.
REVIEW CRITERIA
- Does the idea respond to the reframed problem?
- Can it be tested with the resources I have?
- Did I listen to the affected people or just assume their needs?
When I come back with the test results, help me decide whether to adjust, scale, or discard the idea.
Critical thinking: ask, compare and justify at every step.
